As a teacher or journalist, I can help to deploy carbon performance

We hear: “Measuring decarbonation is very complex and reserved for highly specialised training courses or journals”.

That used to be true, but it’s not any more: carbon management is the collective priority of this century, and learning the rules of carbon performance is part of every human being’s necessary baggage.

For us teachers, clear carbon performance, with precise definitions and practical calculations, opens up the possibility of teaching all young people how to understand and build a world that strikes a better balance between money and living things.

For us journalists, real measurements of the carbon performance of major economic players are formidable tools for investigation and education.

It’s up to us to experiment with the presentation of these carbon performances in our teaching and research, and in our newspapers, and to invent the educational tools that will enable as many people as possible to make them their own.
