Label Transmission

It rewards producers who pass on the carbon performance of their products

A call to the public authorities for a transmission label

It can change everything for the carbon transition

The carbon threat is a general and growing concern that is not easy to tackle in a simple and consensual way.

Along with many others, we are preparing an appeal to public authorities for a simple and consensual response. Your support for this appeal would be invaluable.

We all want to decarbonise our regions. To achieve this, we need everyone to be free to choose their purchases and investments while taking the carbon threat into account. Every buyer or investor, whether an individual or a professional, needs to know the carbon content of what they are considering buying (or its carbon return, in the case of a financial product).

Is this difficult? No. Companies now have simple, rigorous ways of measuring the greenhouse gas (or carbon) content of their products (even very small businesses, thanks to free calculators).

All that’s missing is one piece of the jigsaw: encouraging companies and banks to transmit the carbon performance of their products to their customers.

How can this be done? By rewarding those organisations that “ transmit”. This can be done at no cost if they benefit from a Transmission label and advantages in public procurement, funding, grants, the right to ‘green’ advertising, etc.

This is the aim of the campaign we are preparing. We want it to be widely supported by players in the economy and civil society, scientists and academics, businesses, NGOs, opinion formers, etc.

Your support in preparing the campaign would be a great help to us.

This page is a draft. During the campaign, it will provide access to a mock-up of the label and its technical and scientific foundations.
